Capture SQL Server events with DbForge Event Profiler for SQL Server. Captured events can be analyzed and used to identify slow SQL queries and other SQL Server database related issues. Besides from monitoring database engine, this app can be also used to monitor Analysis and Integration services.

Before you can start to monitor SQL Server events, you must configure a new Server events profiler, where you must specify a server connection, which server events and actions you want to capture, specify event filters, and also choose which columns should be included in tracing of database events. Columns can include CPU time and duration of events, amongst others.

Server profile document shows real-time server events, based on the preconfigured settings. Once enough information has been gathered, you can stop tracing of events and start analyzing them. You can then, for instance, identify events that consume the most CPU time or events that have the longest duration, all of which can be achieved by simply sorting different columns. You can also apply filters to columns or group by different columns, and thus even further narrow down or arrange events. Server profile document can be also saved to file for later analysis.

In summary, DbForge Event Profiler for SQL Server can be helpful in identifying SQL Server performance issues, SQL Server errors/warnings and other SQL Server related problems. There is also included an SQL query editor, which can be used to open SQL queries directly from the event window. DbForge Event Profiler for SQL Server can be also used from within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2016, as it supports integration with it.
